It's Time
for
Malibu Mayhem!
Paradise
Watersports of Arizona and Ski Pro are teaming up to bring you the second event
of the AWA's 2005 Rider Series May 6th at Tow Cow Cove, Lake
Pleasant. At this event, no matter how good, bad, or ugly you ride,
Paradise Watersports says, "You are a winner!" They will be providing
every competitor with a Malibu Mayhem T-shirt for the sixth straight year!
Ski Pro and
Paradise Watersports of Arizona will once again crown the
King of the Double Up. The most
anticipated bonus event of the year will have 10 outlaw or advanced riders
competing for cash money and the prestigious title of
King of the Double Up. Each rider
will have ONE chance to stick their sickest trick off the double up in an
attempt to secure this year's crown. Can't handle the double up?
That's okay too, all of the normal AWA divisions will still be happening with
some outstanding prizes awarded to the top three finishers.

Paradise
Watersports of Arizona will be towing this event with two superb wakeboard
boats; a Wakesetter VLX and a Wakesetter LSV. *When it comes to natural
selection, the Wakesetter VLX has clearly evolved beyond its not-so-humble
beginnings as the wake riding boat of choice, having leapt ahead of the
pretenders and attaining the status of legend. Sporting a completely
redesigned hull and deck, the Wakesetter VLX now measures 21'6" from bow to
transom with a 98" beam. But the reality of these stats is what created a
legend - gravity defying wakes and an awe-inspiring ride.
The Wakesetter VLX is
the official towboat of the most prestigious professional tournaments in the
world, including the Wakeboard World Championships, Wakestock of Canada,
Wakeboard Collegiate Nationals and the Malibu Wakeboard Championships. While
each of the Wakesetters has a unique layout and size, their similarity lies in
the fact they make no compromises in quality, performance and value. Malibu's
dedication to serving wake enthusiasts is evident in their updates, including
the Power Wedge option for customized wakes, the Ballast Monitoring System and
bar graph that shows ballast volumes in each tank for true rider customization
and more.
The
LSV is the big brother of the VLX. The LSV has been called the best
performance wake-maker in the history of the sport. The Wakesetter LSV rides
smoothly on the Malibu V25 Wake Hull, a design that has been digitally shaped
and shaved to achieve optimal wakeboard performance and maneuverability. The
result is a ride endorsed by pros everywhere and sought by aspiring pros and
diehard recreational enthusiasts who want only the best ride on the water.
The Wakesetter 23 LSV is the
personal boat of World Champion Darin Shapiro and the boat he uses for this
personal Riding School. If it's good enough for a world champion, chances are
your family will be equally pleased. Large, powerful, plush, the Wakesetter 23
LSV packs in more ballast and features than any other boat in its class. The
Wakesetter 23 SLV offers riders and their gear a whopping 30 cubic feet of
rear locking storage. The two 200 lb ballast tanks that are used to invade
this space are located beneath the floor and out of the way.
